Tax Planning

The tax services department at Wilklow & Associates is different from other CPA firms. We don't consider the completion of an income tax return to be the most important part of our service to a client. The real value we bring to you is to think forward and help you plan to minimize future income tax burden. By working as a team with you and your other professionals (attorney, broker, etc.), we can craft a tax plan that best meets your goals and minimizes income taxes. After all, it's not what you make that counts most – it's what you get to keep.
Our tax services department is lead by experts in the field. The tax services staff have over 70 years of combined experience devoted to this important area. Our approach to client service is to act as your tax consultant, and our goal is to offer the best options for you. We view the tax return as a scorecard of how well we worked with the client during the past year to plan to minimize their tax burden. Then, we start the process of intelligent tax planning for the current year.

We provide comprehensive tax preparation and planning services to individuals, corporations, partnerships, estate and trusts. We also provide IRS and State representation for matters including collection, and audit issues.
Our dedication to you doesn't stop after April 15. All through the year, we keep up to date on current tax laws to minimize your tax liabilities and to maximize your future opportunities.

We prepare all of your business and personal tax returns. These may include income, payroll, and sales tax returns for your corporations, LLCs, estates, and trusts.

We review the tax structure and tax accounting methods of all new clients to identify tax planning opportunities. We provide a detailed report listing these opportunities and the technical support for our recommendations.

The tax planning meeting is the most important meeting of the year. With new clients we focus on the Tax Review. With existing clients, we review current year accounting data and discuss any changes to their business and tax situation. Based on the data, we perform several "what if" tax projections. From these projections we develop a tax plan to implement before year-end.
